Strolling along London.

Buckingham Palace that I always wanted to visit. The tickets are all sold out and I didn't manage to get in. What a waste! It's only opned during summer for 10 weeks when the queen is away and touring the world. Sighs, got to come again next year!

Outside of Buckingham Palace. Its crowded even on a tuesday morning!

The palace police that I attempted to take a picture with. They only allowed me to stand behind a certain area =(

Since the palace was closed, had no choice but to eat the sandwich I packed at the park. Its a really beautiful place, and it makes me very happy just enjoying the peacefulness and nice weather.

Fed the birdies with some of my bread from the sandwich but its a wrong choice!! once you fed one, the rest would start flocking over, like as if there's some kinda food detector inate in them.

The cute little squirrel!

Bird of the same feather flock together.

I was trying to feed the squirrel with my breadie but those stupid bird snatched it away! roars.

Love this picture! Looks so movie-fairytale like. Now I understand the importance of composition.

Then, headed to harrods to check out some chocolates.

Wanted to get some Pachi Chocs. Its super ex though, 8pouds for 100grams. Faints! So I only bought 100grams and there's only 7 pieces. Precious chocolates.

Exterior of Harrods.

Random walking along Bond Street. Flags hang high and fly.

Spotted a Victoria's Secret and I had to head in even I've got nothing to buy. I buy most of them in states though. The interior is much nicer than any of the shops in states. Its a 4-storey shop where there's different collections in different levels.

There's a awesome toilet on the top level lavishly furnished. Feel like queen once you step in.

Perfume counters in the toilet. Realised most of the toilets in high end shopping places have got perfume tester counters in the toilets. But there's always an attendant to prevent these get stolen.

Strolling along Oxford street.

New York New York

Shagged from the flight to New York, a minute hasn't got to be wasted as I've only got 24 hours in New York. Thanks to the sick bitch that my stay has been shortened by a day. So right after touch down, its time to head out and not getting time wasted.

Had Japanese food with the rest, which is a lil funny. Having Japanese food in New York? Like kinda weird right?

So I decided to be on my own since I don't have much time to be wasted around waiting for others and the random time wastings. Its always exciting travelling alone in a foreign land where I make self discoveries of the new land I'm in. If someone brought me around, I wouldn't have discovered the same for I'll have to be busy entertaining them instead of having some quiet time and appreciating my surroundings. Armed with just a map and brief directions from the concierge, I headed out exploring the city, trying to get my way to Times Square. Along the way, I was awed by the towering buildings, the fast pace city life where everyone seems to be rushing somewhere.

The roads are kinda complicated, they all run parallel to each other where street no. and street name run adjacent to each other. That makes it all squarish and esy to get around.

The American Flag

The building with a bell bottom, and I thought it looked quite interesting!

Bank of America Building. Its quite cool being in the financial district of USA. I can feel the money being made and the economy being driven here.

Its not uncommon to see policemen patrolling the streets in horses. Kinda cool having huge animals out of the blue on the streets yet the cars wouldn't run into them.
 Yellow cabs, distinctively new york.

Empire State building. Its the tallest building in New York.

Not having researched on the shops, I had a hard time locating Victoria's Secrets. The shops are all spread over the city area unlike San Francisco where all the brands are clustered in an area. Over here, I had to research every single shop that I wanted to visit and mark down their locations on the map. It just happened that most of the shops are on 5th avenue, so a new discovery made - 5th avenue is the shopping street! If I have done that earlier, I wouldn't have wasted so much time like an idiot searching a needle in the haysack.

Too bad victoria secrets at herald square was still renovating, and headed to madisson mall's VS. Nothing much though. Like the website always have lotsa stuff inclusing apparels and accessories, these shops only have beauty prods and lingerie.

Empire State building from peasant's eye view.

Didn't have a chance to head to the peak of Empire State to get a paranomic city view. It cost around 20usd though.

Finally the dark falls and here I am at Times Square. The streets were bustling with crowds and excited people. Its an exciting place!

Those billboards are XXL in sizes, still, flashing and all sorts of them. Much money must have spent into putting these up. One can never miss an ad on the street but I guess too much of it is desensitizing as well. Well, its these billboards that makes TimeSquare iconic I guess.

The American flag on digital. Do you know that the 19 stars on the flag symbolises the 19 states in America?  Now you know

Mascots hanging around the streets. They would pull you over or encourage you to take a picture with them. Don't fall for it unless you're willing to tip them! They demand at least 5 USD so it's just pretty annoying!

Broadway street with posters of all the musical productions. It just makes the whole area very fun and exciting!

Caricature drawing from 5 USD onwards. Good souvenir if you're looking for something to bring home!

The next morning, headed to one of the cafes for the American breakfast.  Eggs with Bacons and Hash. The bacon strips are crispy and nice!

Headed to the Grand Central Terminal which is one of New York City's most famous landmarks. Its one of the first railroad station in New York City in 1831, and now its a communter rail terminal station at  42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. They are on two levels, both below ground, with 41 tracks on the upper level and 26 on the lower, though the total number of tracks along platforms and in rail yards exceeds 100. The terminal covers an area of 48 acres

According to the travel magazine Travel + Leisure in its October 2011 survey, Grand Central Terminal is "the world's number six most visited tourist attraction", bringing in approximately 21,600,000 visitors annually

Buying a ticket and asking for directions isn't very tourist friendly. The women at the counter will just shun you to any possible locations just to get you away.

A One-way single trip ticket on the metro cost about 2.50USD. GASP! so pricey

Took a train to central park since I'm already at the subway station. First time in NYC, so gotta experience taking a train to make it complete.

The vintage board hangers are really nice and cool. Only if I have a themed cafe I would probably get it and it'd be part of the decorations to add to the vintage feel.

The doggy is so cute! It's got brown eyebrows!

The warmth of the morning sunshine in Central Park. It's a really huge park. There's a map vendor selling maps for 2USD. Money suckers.

A kind soul who just finished his ride around the park was really kind to pass the map to me. Grateful for kind souls around the world which makes it a more beautiful place.

Always loving greeneries and the peace I find within it.

Horse carriage rides into Central Park.

Cost about 25USD for a 15 - 30 minutes ride around. It would be an experience though

There's a huge Apple Flagship store along the 5th Avenue, just outside of Central Park. It can never to missed.
